'Tears of a Mother's Cry' helps families of murder victims. Millie Brown founded Tears of a Mother's Cry in 2007, giving grieving mothers the chance to have some good days. For the mothers of Baltimore murder victims, she provides a Mother's Day banquet, a day in the park, Thanksgiving dinner and, now, a Christmas celebration.

A Mother’s Cry was founded by Ms. Millie Brown in May 2009. It is a community advocacy and support organization for families who have been affected by violence. Her journey for A Mother’s Cry started here at Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2007.

Tears of a Mother's Cry was founded by Ms. Millie Brown in 2009. Her journey started in 2007 while working in the surgery department at Johns Hopkins Hospital where she saw numerous deaths of young people. What impacted her the most was seeing the pain and suffering of the mothers and families. It was placed on her heart to begin a mother's cry movement. She left her job in 2016 to work with the mothers and families full-time and she started 'Tears of A Mother's Cry.'

My life is upside down, loving God.  The order of the world is out of place and I can’t do anything to right it again.  Oh, Lord, you know the pain in my heart at all times and you know why: my child has died.  How can it be that my beloved child is gone?
